Flexibly controls sound lengths and pitches

CHRONOStream shifts pitches with no time length changes, and modifies playback speed with no pitch shift. The software is used for audio data creation but also for other aspects such as musical production and picture manufacturing.

*1 What is a time stretch and pitch shift technology?

Time stretch means modifying play back speed without pitch changes. Pitch shift means altering sound tones without play back speed changes.

Fast/slow-forwarding on tape players makes sound quality worse. When you speed data up, for example, the tone goes higher. And you make the data forward slowly, the tone goes down. To overcome these problems, time stretch and pitch shift technology is worthy to use.

Time stretch is manipulated for several purposes. Some use it for playing lecture records or videotapes on fast-forward, and some use it for listening slower to what speaker says on phone machines.

In professional music fields, people use it for arranging exactly same tempos, which various music materials have. Pitch shift is also applied as a musical editing tool to rearrange keys, which have different tones.
